Care in Dengue Fever

 

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection that can range from mild to severe. Proper care during dengue fever is crucial to managing symptoms, preventing complications, and ensuring a safe recovery.


Here’s a guide on how to care for someone with dengue fever:


Recognizing Symptoms

  1. Common Symptoms

    -High fever (often up to 104°F or 40°C)
    -Severe headache
    -Pain behind the eyes
    -Joint and muscle pain
    -Nausea and vomiting
    -Fatigue and weakness
    -Skin rash appearing a few days after the fever
    -Mild bleeding (e.g., nosebleeds, gum bleeding, or easy bruising)

  2. Severe Symptoms (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever)

    -Severe abdominal pain
    -Persistent vomiting
    -Rapid breathing
    -Bleeding gums
    -Blood in vomit or stool
    -Fatigue, restlessness, or irritability

     

    Immediate Care

    1)Rest and Hydration

    Ensure the patient gets plenty of rest. Physical exertion should be minimized to conserve energy and aid recovery.

    Encourage the patient to drink plenty of fluids, such as water, oral rehydration solutions, coconut water, and clear soups, to prevent dehydration.


    2)
    Fever Management

    Use acetaminophen (paracetamol) to control fever and relieve pain. Avoid aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen, as they can increase the risk of bleeding.

     Apply cool compresses to the forehead to help reduce fever.

    3)Diet and Nutrition

     offer light, easily digestible foods such as porridge, broth, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid spicy, oily, or heavy foods that might aggravate nausea.

     Monitor food intake to ensure the patient maintains energy levels despite reduced appetite.

    pregnant women to stay safe from COVID-19



    Before going to discuss anything regarding covid-19, I tell you congrats.
    Because you are passing though world best time which time every lady thinks about.

    You here many new regarding corona  how it attack and what is the symptoms shows on body.

    In this news, you also think about your baby if you are pregnant.

    So that sometimes you worry about your baby and baby future.

    But please do not take tension for baby.
    You need to take care about your health, take proper food and best exercise for pregnancy and medicine which is prescribed by doctor.

    Now come to point Covid-19
    pregnant woman should avoid to go out side of home where chances of corona infection is hire.
    Because nobody knows where is corona virus.

    So you need to wear mask before go to out side of home. Please do not touch outer side of mask.
    Because there is chances of corona available.

    If you bored at home due to lockdown, do some activities which can refresh your mind.

    If you go out side for any urgent work, than you need to wash your hand through the hand sanitizer or water + soap at least 20 seconds.
    Don't touch your hand to any thing when you come out side of house.

    It is important for pregnant woman to take proper sleep. Because sleep is necessary to build our immune system.
    Science says that if any person take proper sleep, body’s immunity increases amazingly.
    And if person have proper immune power, than body can give proper power to fight against virus.

    Need to check thalassemia before marriage

    Thalassemia  is blood disorder disease. It pass through genes.
    In which patient body have problem to produce inadequate amount of hemoglobin.
    Hemoglobin is a red cell which carries the oxygen to the body part.

    But in this disorder, destroyed large about of cell so that it does not produce blood.

    Hemoglobin is made of two proteins:
    1)Alpha
    2)Beta



    There are two types of  Thalassemia.

    1)Alpha Thalassemia-occurs when genetic problem due to alpha goblin protein missing.

    2)Beta Thalassemia-Occurs when body does not produce the blood due to gene defects.

    So this two types of patient identified by two types.

    1)Thalassemia Minor-carried from the parents. when one from mother/father is Thalassemia minor
    2)Thalassemia Major- carried from the parent when both parents are Thalassemia minor.

    Thalassemia Major patient need blood transfusion of every some days. when child is infant, he/she need on every month or 45 days. But this days are count less when age is higher.

    Due to blood transfusion, child body deposit iron in the body and due to iron it affects many part of body.

    It affects many part of child/patient body like lever, eye, kidney and brain.

    So remove iron from the body, patient need iron chelation medicine to remove excess iron from the body,

    There are not fix region where we can say that Thalassemia  is find in genes.
     
    But if you from Asia , China and other part.
    And one of your parents or both is Thalassemia Minor

    So if you want that no child will born with this disorder in your family, need Thalassemia before marriage.
    And if not test before marriage and your wife is pregnant than you need to test Thalassemia.

    Baby care in cold

    Becoming mother is the best thing I think world but it comes with additional responsibilities.
    Every parents always worries about Their child. Because the child is the precious thing for them.Child looks very good when he/she in good condition, he/she becomes less active when the child suffers from bad health.
    There are many things that parents take care in normal cold. it is good if take decision on prior stage otherwise it create big problem for child and also for parents.
    In cold, first stage child play with watery nose,eye, cough. This symptoms show on the first day.
    In this day parent give some liquid medicine or go to hospital.
    Avoid high sugar food, cold water, ice etc.

    Every time baby put hand in mouth. so that baby stomach  get problem.

    Put monkey cap on head. so that your baby get warm against in winter.

    Many time  baby wake up in the midnight and crying but the real problem is that  urine or cold or nausea problem. so that child can not get the breath and lost  the sleep.

    Respules is the medicine which put in the mask to get the breath through the nebulizer.

    Nebulizer is the machine used to take the breath with medicine like respule.

    There are different type of respules available in market. but do not give your child without your pediatric advice. otherwise you and your child will put in more complex situation.

    Respules contains the element like beta2-adrenergic bronchodilator, levosalbutamol sulphate, and the anticholinergic bronchodilator, ipratropium bromide.

    But this element is changed on company to company.

    How to take care of your health in Monsoon

    When Summer is on the head, every person wait for the monsoon.Every people becomes happy when water comes from the sky and put on their face. But every monsoon comes with some diseases like skin allergy due to wet skin and also malaria, dengue and etc.


    You need to take some steps to keep you health in monsoon.

    • Keep away from the food which is not from home
    • Do not use to drink softdrink and ice etc.
    • Keep away from food which is hard to digest in this season.
    • Every time you need to keep umbrella or  raincoat so that your body
      does not wet.
    • When you totally wet you need to some warm drink like Tea, Coffee.
      so that your body get some energy from drinks.
    • Need to dry all the air cooler and the pot. So that you away from malaria and other disease.
    • Do not travel to any unknown place otherwise you will put in conflict.
    • Do not eat Stale food because in this season bacteria growth is high.
